Christmas services & opening times
Dudley Council Plus phone lines will be closed from 24 to 26 December and on 1 January. Self-serve online services will be accessible as normal through MyDudley.
You can report an emergency for any council service by calling Dudley Council Plus on 0300 555 2345 and selecting option 1, which will take you to our out of hours emergency service. This is available for emergencies at any time of year.
The Dudley Council Plus walk-in centre will close permanently on 17 January. This follows the approval of plans to provide in-person customer support closer to people’s homes.
Support will be available through MyDudley, via telephone, and at our housing hubs, family hubs and borough libraries.
The Housing Maintenance Team will be available for emergency repairs only from 24 December to 26 December and from 28 December to 29 December.

Normal service will resume on 2 January.
Your waste and recycling collections may change dates during the Christmas and New Year period. Normal service will resume from Monday 6 January.

The Household Waste and Recycling Centre (tip) in Stourbridge will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day.
The pop-up tip on Lister Road in Dudley will be open on Saturday 11 January.
The pop-up tip on the Northway in Sedgley will be open on Saturday 18 January.
Dudley Register Office will be closed between 24 December and 26 December, then on 29 December and 1 January.
Stourbridge Registration Office will be closed from 23 December to 1 January.
Birth registrations will be available at the borough family hubs by appointment only.
Dudley borough libraries will be closed between 24 and 27 December. They will reopen on 28 December, before closing from 30 December to 1 January. Stourbridge Library will also be open on 29 December.
Dudley Archives and Dudley Museum at the Archives will be closed from 22 December to 27 December, then from 29 December to 1 January.
Normal operation will resume on 2 January.
The grounds of Himley Hall and Park will remain open throughout the festive season from 7.30am to 5pm.
The South Wing Coffee Lounge and Galleries will be closed from 24 December to 1 January. The lounge will reopen on 2 January at 9.30am.
Duncan Edwards, Crystal and Halesowen leisure centres and the Dell Stadium will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Our leisure centres will have reduced opening hours from 6.30am to 6pm on 27 December, 30 December and 31 December.

Family hubs
All of our local family hubs will be closed from 24 December to 26 December and on 1 January.
The family hubs in Brierley Hill, Dudley and Lye will also be closed from 27 December to 31 December.
The family hubs in Stourbridge and Coseley will be open on 27 December, 30 December and 31 December. Normal service will resume on 2 January.
Approved Mental Health Professionals Service
The Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHP) hub accepts requests for Mental Health Act (MHA) assessments 24/7, 365 days per year. They can be contacted on 01384 814400.
Any queries for Mental Health social work teams should be directed to the Emergency Duty Team out of hours and on bank holidays.

Gornal and Stourbridge cemeteries and grounds are open during the Christmas period from 9am to 4.30pm. The book of remembrance and flower rooms are open from 9am to 4pm.
The borough crematoria and offices will be closed from 24 December to 26 December and on 1 January.

The Red House Glass Cone will be closed from 22 December to 1 January.
Services including residential care, sheltered housing, home care and telecare will continue to operate during the festive season.
The Carers Hub and Wellbeing Service will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
The Crystal Gateway dementia day centre and Queens Cross Network will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. All attendees to the centres have been informed in advance of this closure.
The centre will be open on 23 December and 27 December, then from 2 January onwards as usual.
The Access Team will be closed from 24 December to 26 December, then on 1 January. In case of an emergency that cannot wait until the next working day, please call 0300 555 8574.
