What is the Council Plan?
Dudley Council is constantly striving to improve the way that we deliver our services to meet the needs of local people, and to ensure we can measure and demonstrate our achievements. The Council Plan 2026-2027 sets out Dudley's strategic direction for the year.
The 2026-2027 plan is a continuation of the priorities from the 2025-2026 plan as we can continue to move forward with our council improvement plan building on progress already made. The council plan is based on the themes of the national best value framework. Within each theme are two priorities that the council will focus on during the year.
The themes are:
- Leadership
- Governance
- Culture
- Use of resources
- Service delivery
- Partnerships and community engagement
- Continuous improvement
