Waste and recycling service update – thank you for your patience

Our crews are continuing to catch up after the recent bad weather, as well as the extra waste generated over Christmas and New Year. Here's the latest update.

Black bin (refuse)

Collections are expected to be fully caught up by Saturday morning, 17 January.

Garden waste

Some garden waste crews were temporarily redeployed to support recycling and refuse catch up.

Garden waste collections return to normal from Monday 19 January.

Please leave your green bin at the kerbside - additional vehicles will be out to collect any outstanding waste.

Recycling

Crews will be working this Saturday (17 January) to continue catching up.

Some of Friday's and possibly Thursday's rounds may still need to be collected on Monday.

If your recycling is uncollected after 3pm on Saturday, you can either:

  • bring it back in and place it out again for Monday, or
  • leave it securely at the kerbside

Please put recycling out as normal next week - we'll aim to get to it on the scheduled day or the following day.

Gritting

Take care if you're out and about and allow more time for your journeys.

Housing repairs

We are prioritising emergency repairs to ensure the safety of our residents. If your call is not urgent please log your issue online at MyDudley. Thank you for your understanding.

Trees

We are prioritising trees which are obstructing the highways and footways. If the tree has fallen and is on the ground, you can report this and we will attend as soon as resources are available. Please note if the tree has hazard tape attached, or around the location, you do not need to report this.
