Use audiobooks (e.g., Audible, RNIB Bookshare) to support access to age-appropriate texts.
Encourage paired reading or echo reading to build confidence.
Choose dyslexia-friendly books with clear fonts and spacing (e.g., Barrington Stoke).

Focus on phonics-based approaches (e.g., Nessy, Toe by Toe).
Use multi-sensory techniques like air writing, sand trays, or magnetic letters.
Encourage the use of spell-checkers and predictive text tools.

Allow the use of laptops or tablets with speech-to-text software.
Break writing tasks into manageable chunks with planning scaffolds.
Use visual organisers like mind maps or storyboards.

Provide clear, written instructions and break tasks into steps.
