When we gather feedback about the SEND local offer, we adopt a 'you said, we did' method to demonstrate the improvements we've made. This section is regularly updated to reflect our ongoing dedication to enhancing the Dudley SEND Local Offer.
'I couldn't find a list of all the specialist base provisions in the borough and what they offer.'
We have added a page which includes information about the Resource Provision and SEND Units in Dudley. We are currently updating the individual setting one-page profiles. These will be added to this page soon.
'It is not helpful to parents that all of the independent schools have been removed.'
Our new Local Offer included a link to the Section 41 independent special schools and post-16 institutions. We have renamed this page to Independent Schools and Colleges and included information about settings in Dudley and the surrounding area.
'I can't find information about Right to Choose referrals'
We have added signposting about Right to Choose referrals for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to the Health and Wellbeing hub on the Local Offer.
'I can't find information about Dudley-approved alternative provision providers'
You can find information about alternative provision providers approved by Dudley Local Authority on our Alternative Provision page.
'I can't find information about SEND-accessible activities on the Local Offer'
You can find information about community and leisure activities for children and young people with SEND on the Dudley Community Information Directory and the Family Information Service. You can find links to these sites and other resources on our Things to Do hub.
'I can't find information about SEND support groups in the local area'
You can find information about local and national support groups, including SENDIASS and Dudley PCF by visiting SEND Support for Families.
