The Environment Act 2021 amended the biodiversity duty on all public bodies to include the conservation and enhancement of biodiversity.
To address the expanded duty the council have produced a strategy and action plan. In response, the council has developed a produced the below reports which detail actions to date and provide a strategy and action plan moving forward. These documents set out how the council will assess its responsibilities and implement measures to ensure that biodiversity within the borough is properly conserved and strengthened.
