Our aim is to make your day special and unforgettable. Our wedding co-ordinator and catering manager are on hand to guide you through all of your wedding preparations, helping you make the right decisions and choices. We understand what couples want from their big day, a smooth and memorable experience with a dash of the extraordinary.

Your wedding day at Himley is tailor-made to suit you. Whether it is guidance in the timing of your ceremony, helping make your choice of music or perhaps adding those special touches such as champagne on the terrace, experienced staff are always there to help.

We ensure the smooth-running of the day by liaising with registrars, photographers and florists. Hall reception staff offer a warm welcome to your guests as they arrive, ensuring appropriate private parking of vehicles and seating of guests, with named seating for immediate family. Your Wedding Co-ordinator can also ensure discreet arrival of the wedding couple if desired. Himley Hall has a wide library of ceremony music available to couples should they wish to select from it and staff also co-ordinate the playing of your chosen music for arrival into the ceremony room, during and following your ceremony.

Baskets to hold your flower petals are available however we regret that we cannot allow the distribution of paper confetti at our ceremonies.

Himley Hall has three rooms licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and partnerships.

The Pink Room

Overlooking the terrace gardens with the Great Lake beyond, the Pink Room was once home to the Earl of Dudley's library. It offers intimate and luxurious surroundings for wedding parties of up to 45 guests including the wedding couple and has private access onto the terrace of Himley Hall for celebratory drinks and photographs.

The Green Room

Originally the formal Dining Room of the Earls of Dudley, the elegant Green Room, complete with dazzling historic chandelier, is a perfect setting for larger ceremonies of up to 75 guests including the wedding couple. Again overlooking the terrace gardens the Green Room has views towards the Great Lake. Terrace access through the Pink Room is available for photographs and drinks.

The Oak Room

Recently licensed for ceremonies outside the spring and summer exhibition season and overlooking the courtyard, is the Oak Room, the cosy wood panelled former billiard room of the Earls of Dudley. The Oak Room is licensed for up 55 guests including the wedding couple. Terrace access through the Pink Room is available for photographs and drinks.

During your stay the Hall courtyard is reserved solely for the use of you and your guests. In the Spring and Summer months Himley Hall is open to the public for exhibition viewing in the afternoon, however every step is taken to ensure your privacy. Himley's policy of hosting only one ceremony or reception at a time ensures that your booking is personal to you.

Our wedding fee covers a two hour period. It is advised that your guests arrive 30 minutes before your ceremony thus allowing a further 90 minutes for both the ceremony and photographs. The fee also includes car parking for guests.

A variety of options are available to couples for civil ceremonies and receptions at Himley Hall.

Afternoon ceremonies on Saturdays (April to September) and Fridays (July to August) must be part of a Full Wedding Package

The celebration following your wedding ceremony completes your perfect day. At Himley Hall not only can you marry where royal newlyweds honeymooned but you may dine and celebrate your marriage where princes and earls once entertained.

Whatever wedding celebration you have in mind the staff at Himley Hall focus their attention on providing a quality, seamless service, offering wonderful mouth watering food.

Himley offers a superb choice of wedding breakfast menus from fully inclusive three course dinner packages to high quality buffet receptions. We are of course quite happy to quote for alternative menu preferences and cater for special diets. The Hall Catering Manager will guide you through your catering choices and seating plan and assist in ensuring co-ordination with your choice of colours for table settings and themes.

Himley believes that personal contact in preparing for your special day is paramount, both our Wedding Co-ordinator and Catering Manager are available for an informal chat. Himley Hall's policy of only one wedding reception each day ensures that your wedding celebration is private and personal to you.

Wedding receptions may be held in most of Himley Hall's refurbished rooms including the Green Room - the former dining room of the Hall, the Oak Room - a delightful wood-panelled room overlooking the courtyard and the 'art-deco style' Swimming Pool Room in the North Wing.

The Green Room

The elegance of Himley is epitomised by the grandeur of its former dining room, now the Green Room, complete with its imposing 'air-twist' chandelier. This room allows for wedding guests to celebrate in historic chic surroundings, enjoying window views overlooking the terrace and the Great lake beyond. The Green Room is available for seated wedding breakfasts up to 48 guests.

The Oak Room

The warmth and intimacy of Himley Hall's Oak Room, the former Billiard Room of the Earl's of Dudley, offers guests the sophistication of a bygone era combined with the cosiness of discreet luxury that sensitive restoration has created.

A delightful wood panelled room overlooking the Hall courtyard, the Oak Room is available for seated wedding breakfasts for up to 48 guests.

The North Wing

The North Wing is home to the elegant Swimming Pool Room and Cinema Bar which have been refurbished in a stunning Art-Deco style as befits a stately home whose heyday was in the 1930's.

Magnificent 1930's style bespoke lighting, period décor and stylish soft furnishings highlight the superb attention to detail which has established Himley Hall's North Wing as a dazzling venue for wedding celebrations and parties.

The Swimming Pool Room includes a dance floor and lighting specifically designed for evening functions. It can cater for 90 guests for a seated meal and between 80 and 140 guests for an evening disco and buffet.

The Cinema Bar, so named because it is situated in the Earl's former private cinema, offers a sumptuous retreat from the livelier Swimming Pool Room during your celebration. Exquisite 1930's style café bar furniture sit adjacent to the 'birds-eye' maple and chrome finished bar overlooked by images of stars of the silver screen from the Art Deco era.

Evening Celebrations with disco

The Swimming Pool Room includes a full disco sound and lighting system for all evening celebrations. Our resident DJ provides full disco entertainment with the opportunity for couples to submit music requests including first and last dance choices prior to the day itself.

For either a wedding breakfast celebration, an evening after-wedding function or perhaps both, the choice of Himley Hall's North wing will ensure your wedding day occasion is a special one.

Suggested seating plans are available to help you organise your reception, down to the smallest detail. 

The ground floor refurbished suite at Himley Hall is fully accessible to disabled persons. Hall courtyard car parking may be reserved for guests requiring nearby access.
