Schools at the Cone

Having the following information handy will help us to process your booking more quickly:

• Preferred date for your visit (it may be helpful to have a few options available)
• Staff contact details (email, phone number and school address)
• Number and ages of students
• Number of accompanying adults (please let us know if this includes 1:1 carers)
• Preferred arrival and departure time
• Details of any special or additional needs, and how we can support your visit.
• Parking requirements (there is a coach bay outside)

Contact - Museums

£320 per day for up to 32 pupils.

This includes

• Guided tour
• Glass fusing
• Afternoon activities
• Accompanying adults are free

Small groups (up to 14 participants) -  £12 per participant. There is a minimum charge of £96. 

How to Pay:

Online: We now have the facility to accept online payment - we will send you the link. 

If you require an official invoice there will be a £10 administration fee.

We are able to provide a till receipt free of charge.

Once your booking has been confirmed we will email you with the cost, payment details, schedule of your day and additional information to help your visit run smoothly.

Safety

We have included Risk assessments at the bottom of this page. It is intended to support your own school risk assessment as required by your school's Off-Site Policy.

Planning visits

Entrance to the Museum is free. If you wish to meet a member of the education team during the week to discuss in more detail any aspect of your visit please contact us in advance.

Parking

Coaches may set down and pick up directly outside the Cone entrance.

Gift Shop

There is a gift shop selling a variety of goods; our marbles are particularly popular with pupils! If you intend to allow pupils to purchase items, please bring them into the shop in small groups during your afternoon activities. 

Coffee Shop

There is a small, independent coffee shop for that well deserved latte.

Arrival

• Coaches may set down and pick up only - there is a coach bay outside the Museum entrance.
• Enter the venue through the main gates. You will be met by a member of the Education Team. 
• Please hand your payment to the member of staff on Reception - they will be able to provide you with a till receipt. 
• Welcome speeches will be given to your group. This will cover information regarding lunch arrangements and toilet facilities.

During your visit

• Please remain with your students in a supervisory role throughout the day.
• Your group will be shown an indoor base for lunch and storage for coats, bags and lunchboxes - NOTE that this room is not locked. 
• WiFi is available throughout the venue - Dudley Connect
• Feedback - we really value your thoughts and those of your pupils

• Group sizes - a minimum group size charge will be applied to all bookings of 12 or below.
• Changes and Cancellations - please tell us as soon as possible if you wish to alter or cancel your booking. If your booking is cancelled less than two weeks before your visit then you will be charged 50%. If your booking is cancelled less than one week before your visit you will be charged 100%.
• Refunds - we ask for payment on the day of your visit meaning you pay for the number of pupils attending on the day. 
• Late arrivals - if you are running late please phone ahead and let us know (01384 812381) we will always do our best to adjust timings.
• Personal belongings - we cannot accept responsibility for valuables or belongings.
