Forum funding can help you to make a difference in your local community. Grants of up to £2,500 can be awarded to voluntary or community organisations which are based in Dudley borough or which benefit people living in the borough.
You are advised to carefully review the Funding Criteria, Funding Application Form and information below before completing and submitting your grant application.
You can apply for Forum funding if you are a constituted voluntary organisation or community group based in Dudley Borough, or working to benefit the people who live in the Borough.
Council Directorates, Councillors, individuals, businesses and schools are not able to apply for Forum funding.
Please read the Funding Criteria and make sure you speak to your local Community Development Worker (CDW) before submitting your application form. This will help prevent any delays in the application process.
Please complete and submit your application form electronically, where possible. Completed forms and the other requested documents should be emailed to community.forums@dudley.gov.uk
Your local CDW will be happy to discuss alternative options if you have difficulty in completing the application form.
Your local CDW can offer a range of support during the application process and beyond. This may include:
Talking through the funding criteria
Ideas to make your project sustainable
Connecting you to Council Officers (if required)
Confirming which supporting documents are required
Helping you to get the word out about your project and/or group
Connecting you with local people or other organisations who may be able to contribute to your project (and vice versa)
Completed grant applications should be submitted at least 28 days in advance of the next available Community Grant Panel meeting. If you miss the deadline, your application will be held over until the next meeting. All required documentation must be submitted by the deadline (see Application Form).
You are advised to review the funding criteria and application form in advance to make sure you have time to gather the required information.
Your application will be considered at the next available Community Grant Panel meeting. Following the meeting, the Grant Panel’s recommendations will be submitted to the Council’s Director of Public Health and Wellbeing for a decision.
You will receive a letter outlining the decision shortly afterwards. Please do not start your project until you have written confirmation of funding. Funding is allocated in line with the Terms and Conditions set out in the funding criteria.
