The Dudley Education Business Partnership (EBP) supports schools, colleges, employers and young people that engage in Work Experience programmes.
Dudley Council and Dudley Education Business Partnership have a duty of care to verify that a company offering work experience placements has appropriate measures in place (to include young people) regarding health, safety, welfare, safeguarding and employment insurance.
We will only collect basic personal data that is required to undertake one or more of the above functions. This may include your name, address, telephone/mobile number, email address, DBS information. This will include information you have given us, e.g. during the Pre-Placement Interview and information received from third parties e.g. schools/colleges.

Your personal information will be treated as confidential. We may check details with other local authorities/partner organisations and private consultants to ensure our records are accurate and up-to-date. We will share information to allow the Education Business Partnership to provide services in line with legislation as mentioned above. We will only use your information in ways, which are permitted by Data Protection Law. Information is recorded and processed on a Dudley MBC secure database and is accessed by only authorised/approved school/college personnel. This system is also used by Connexions Dudley.
Dudley Council and Dudley Education Business Partnership may also use your information for the purpose of performing any of its duties. We may share your information with other bodies responsible for ensuring the suitability of work experience placements for young people.
We will not disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent.
What are your rights?

request a copy of your information (known as a subject access request)
request rectification or erasure of your information
request a restriction on the processing of your information
object to processing of your information, and
complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office about the way Dudley Council processes your information

We will keep your information for as long as it is required by us or other regulatory bodies in order to comply with legal and regulatory requirements or for other operational reasons.
