Exhibitions

On show at the Red House Glass Cone  as part of the International Festival of Glass

Work ……
its history and heritage in the Dudley borough

Dudley adult learners have been learning about the different occupations carried out by the people who have lived and worked in the Dudley borough during its rich industrial past.
Learners have painted images onto glass to celebrate the history and heritage of these workers for the International Festival of Glass.

Summer exhibition  at Artspace Dudley, 4 Birdcage Walk Dudley DY2 7AE
5 August - 19 August.
An exhibition of art and craft from learners who have taken part in drawing and painting courses with Dudley Adult and Community Learning at Brierley Hill and Dudley Wood Neighbourhood Learning Centres, Lye Community Centre and Brook Primary School.
The show includes:
glass painting on the theme of Dudley’s industrial heritage
modern Art
land and seascape paintings
Exhibitors and the general public are invited to the launch event at Artspace on Monday 5 August between 6pm and 8 pm
The exhibition is open until Monday 19 August.
Some of the artwork will be on sale after the exhibition.

The Journey …
….. of creative personal development at Artspace Dudley, 4 Birdcage Walk Dudley DY2 7AE

An exhibition showcasing the work of 21 learners who have taken part in Creative Personal Development courses using art work as a vehicle for self-discovery.
Launch event Tuesday 27 August 5pm – 7pm

Wednesday  28 August  10.30am – 12.30pm
Thursday  29 August  10.30am – 12.30pm
Friday   30 August  10.30am – 12pm
Monday   2 September  10am  – 12pm

A new free course for people who are unemployed and looking for work, or in work but looking for new opportunities.

Living and work - a course for adults with learning disabilities

On this course you will learn skills to help you in your daily life. You will also gain credits towards a qualification.

The course is held on Thursdays, 10.30am to 3pm (with 30 minutes for lunch).

To complete the course you must attend all of the sessions.

To join the course you must:
• be over 19 years old
• have basic reading and writing skills
• be able to attend for 2 days a week for 20 weeks
• take part in group activities
• be in receipt of benefits
