Dudley Council
Dudley Skyline

The council deal with a variety of environmental issues that can have a negative impact on the local environment. These would include; abandoned/nuisance vehicles, untaxed vehicles, fly-posting, graffiti, fly tipping, littering and dog fouling (where the person in charge of a dog has failed to clean up).

The Waste Enforcement Policy sets out good practice and demonstrates clarity and consistency in the delivery of those environmental enforcement duties and powers relevant to the Council’s Waste Management Functions.

In order to offer a more inclusive strategy and enforcement policy, many of the functions undertaken will be carried out in partnership with other partners such as the Police, The Environment Agency, DVLA and other local councils and agencies, where possible.

A public register of prosecutions is maintained detailing details of prosecutions and formal cautions issued in the last three years. Where serious offences arise or there is a history of non-compliance, consideration will be given to pursuing prosecution / formal caution.
