Council tax direct debit issue

We have had issues with our direct debit software and have unfortunately been unable to collect council tax direct debits today.

We know this may be an inconvenience and frustration for some of our customers. We apologise for this issue but want to reassure people that we are working hard to fix this.

We expect the system to be up and running soon and should have collected all outstanding payments by the early part of next week.

Thank you for your patience.

Essential website maintenance

We will be carrying out planned maintenance on www.dudley.gov.uk Tuesday 11 August, This may involve some disruption to the site. You will still be able to raise requests through our MyDudley portal and make online payments through our eStore. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

If your circumstances have recently changed, leading to an overpayment on your council tax, you may be entitled to claim a refund.

If you have recently received a bill detailing you are in credit and do not pay by direct debit, please download the attached pro-forma (below) and return to Revenue.Finance@dudley.gov.uk.

If the refund request is £100 or greater, please provide a copy of a recent bank statement.

Where payment is made by direct debit, the credit will be refunded to the bank account from which payment was made.

Please note: If you are currently in receipt of Council Tax Reduction (CTR), the credit detailed on your bill may change if you have a change of circumstances that affects the level of CTR you are entitled to.
