Update

In Dudley, as in other parts of the country, unfortunately the demand for council homes is far higher than there are properties available. You can find useful information about other housing options that are available.  Please take time to read this.

I have completed my online application form - what happens now?

Please ensure that you have created a portal account then progressed to the ‘apply for housing’ section which needs to be fully completed and submitted at www.dudleyhomes.org.uk.

Once your application to the housing register has been submitted in your portal you will receive actions through your portal that you are required to complete before we can proceed with your application. Failure to complete these actions will result in your application remaining unprocessed.

Once all actions have been completed your application form will be passed to a Housing Options Advisor to complete eligibility checks.

If we are unable to accept your application on to the housing register we will contact you and advise you of the reason why and/or any right of appeal you may have.

Current Dudley Council tenants who have been in their tenancy for 2 years or more can apply to the housing register. Once all actions are completed and approved the Housing Options Advisor processing the application would then request approval from the Community Housing Officer. You may be required to have a home check visit which they would arrange.
