Update

Unfortunately, the demand for council accommodation is far higher than available properties each year, and this is particularly the case at this time, you can find useful information about other housing options that are available.  Please take time to read this.

I have completed my online application form - what happens now?

Please ensure that you have created a portal account then progressed to the ‘apply for housing’ section which needs to be fully completed and submitted at www.dudleyhomes.org.uk.

Once your application to the housing register has been submitted in your portal you will receive actions through your portal that you are required to complete before we can proceed with your application. Failure to complete these actions will result in your application remaining unprocessed.

Once your actions have been completed your application form will be forwarded to the appropriate team who will contact you to discuss your application further.

If for any reason, we are unable to progress your application we will contact you and advise you of the reason why and/or any right of appeal you may have.

Current Dudley Council tenants will need the approval of their Community Housing Officer. The Housing Options Team will contact them and arrange for this, you may be required to have a home visit.  Applications for a transfer to alternative property will not normally be accepted from any Dudley Council tenants within two years of the tenancy start date. Please see the Housing Allocation Policy for more information.
