Community Based Cycling Training - Accessible to the General Public

The Road Safety & Travel Awareness Team offer those who live, work or attend school or college in the Borough of Dudley, the facility to access and book into free, community based Bikeability cycle training sessions..

This page will be updated regularly and will detail the current dates for community based cycle training and/or Dr Bike sessions, which the general public may access and book onto as required and appropriate to their needs. 

The cycle training sessions can be booked for individuals, groups and families. As can the Dr Bike sessions.

These sessions are accessible and inclusive in nature where at all possible. Individuals are asked to discuss particular needs and requirements with the Road Safety & Travel Awareness Team, in order to establish how best individuals can be supported, enabled and encouraged to cycle.

Sessions need to be booked onto, via the Road Safety & Travel Awareness Team, utilising the contact details below. 

The sessions are free of charge and based currently at The Wordsley School in Stourbridge, generally taking place on Saturday mornings and during school holidays.

Bikeability sessions available are Learn to Ride and Levels 1 through to 3

Also available at times throughout the year are 'Led Rides', again these can be for individuals, groups and families and can be booked onto by utilising the contact details below.

Dates of Saturday Cycle Training for this current term:

  • Saturday 29th January
  • Saturday 12th February
  • Saturday 5th March
  • Saturday 19th March
  • Saturday 2nd April

Dates of February Half Term Cycle Training Sessions

  • Monday 21st February
  • Friday 25th February

Session times available are

  • 09:30-11:00 hrs 
  • 11:00-12:30 hrs

 

 

Current Community Based Dr Bike Sessions

Dates of Dr Bike Sessions:

  • Wednesday 13th April - Mary Stevens Park in Stourbridge
  • Wednesday 20th April - Himley Hall and Park in Dudley

*Appointments will be available between 09:00 - 15:30 hrs on both days, one or more bikes will be able to be bought as long as booked in advance and allocated a time slot.
