Dudley Borough Strategic, Town, District and Local Centre Annual Health Checks

In addition to the Strategic Centre of Brierley Hill (including the Merry Hill Shopping Centre and Brierley Hill High Street Local Shopping Area), there are three town centres, three district centres and 16 local centres across the borough.

Every year, Dudley Council conducts a survey of all these centres to assess the levels of retail and other uses within each centre, and also the vacancy levels. Whilst mixed uses are promoted in local centres, the importance of local retail provision is also recognised. Data gathered from the surveys is used to inform the planning process both in the determination of planning applications and to influence future policies.

You can see results from all of the centre surveys in the document available to view and download below. It gives maps and data summaries for each of the Borough's centres.
