Design in Brierley Hill Town Centre Supplementary Planning Document (SPD)

The role of this SPD is to provide guidance on urban design in the new strategic town centre of Brierley Hill.

This SPD supports, and should be read in conjunction with, the Brierley Hill Area Action Plan (AAP).

The SPD aims to improve the quality of Brierley Hill’s urban environment and encourage a high standard of design for new developments occurring under the framework of the AAP. To supplement the policies in the AAP, this SPD encourages new development to enhance Brierley Hill's local distinctiveness, townscape character and urban form.

Consultation on the SPD was undertaken between 19th March and 30th April 2012. The responses and comments received through this were used to inform the final document.
