The Health Visiting Team includes qualified nurses and/or midwives that have undertaken additional specialist training.

The team offers services for all families with children aged 0-5 years old. They empower families to provide the best possible start in life for their children. They have expertise and experience in child development and family health.

Vaccinations

Your baby will have routine vaccinations from two months onwards. They are very important, as your child will be protected from numerous illnesses, including:

  • Polio
  • Measles
  • Mumps
  • Bacterial infections that cause meningitis

You can find which vaccinations are due and when on the immunisation schedule.

Family Healthy Lifestyle Service

The Family Healthy Lifestyle Service offers free healthy lifestyle support to families in the Dudley borough. Access support over the phone or in person over a series of up to seven appointments.

Families are supported to work towards their healthy goals and find out about other activities and specialist support available in the local area.

Families can self-refer or can be referred by their GP Practice, School Nurse, Health Visitor or a Family Support Worker.

Healthy Start 

Healthy Start - If you’re more than 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under 4, you may be entitled to get help to buy healthy food, milk and collect free vitamins.
