The Community Equipment Service provides a range of equipment on loan to help people stay independent in the community.

What is the Community Equipment Service

  • The Community Equipment Service is jointly funded between Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council and the NHS
  • The service is provided through health and social care professionals, such as nurses, occupational therapists, etc
  • The service arranges the delivery of equipment to people with physical disability, frailty or following surgery, to support them remaining in their own home for longer
  • A professional health and social care worker will assess your needs. Then equipment will be issued to help you to remain independent in your own home
  • Equipment can range from simple aids for daily living to more complex pieces of kit
