Dudley has launched a new website ‘All About Dudley Borough’ which provides a range of resources, reports and information which help describe Dudley and what it is like to live and work here.

All about dudley borough imageThe website has been produced on behalf of local partner organisations who work together as a Health and Wellbeing Board, including Dudley Council, Dudley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the Police, the Fire Service and Dudley CVS. All About Dudley is the Borough’s Joint Strategic Assessment (JSA) – also known as a Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA).

The JSNA is a statutory requirement for each local authority area. Its purpose is to summarise information about the Borough, to inform our priorities for improving people’s lives. In Dudley Borough we have decided to focus on the strengths of the community as well as its needs, therefore our local version is called the Joint Strategic Assessment (JSA).

All About Dudley Borough identifies the needs and strengths of local residents so that partners are clear about the most important ways that we can work together to improve people’s lives and narrow the gap in health and wellbeing between different areas of the Borough.

The website has an overview of ‘The Borough’, a ‘Publications’ section and a set of ‘Key Topics’ which currently focus on the characteristics of the Dudley Borough population, but will expand to include other subjects such as the three priorities of the Dudley Health and Wellbeing Board - promoting health weight, reducing the impact of poverty and reducing loneliness and isolation.
