Sedgley Fairtrade Initiative is a campaign group which promotes Fairtrade and celebrates Fairtrade champions in the town. They successfully achieved Fairtrade status for the own of Sedgley in January 2015.
They run annual events during Fairtrade Fortnight including exhibitions, coffee mornings and Fairtrade stalls.
During Fairtrade Fortnight Sedgley Fairtrade Initiative are taking a survey in Sedgley to see what Fairtrade products people are buying, where and how frequently they are bought. Leaflets will be available at the venues where events are taking place. Sedgley Co-op are donating a competition hamper and the winner will be drawn at the final event at the Sedgley branch of the Co-op on March 11.
Saturday February 20 10.00am till 12.00 noon, At Sedgley Community Centre, Ladies Walk. Fairtrade Coffee Morning with Display, tastings, craft and food stalls.
Monday February 2910.00 am till 12.00 noon. At Williams Coffee Shop and Eatery, Fairtrade stall and tastings.
Wednesday March 211.00am Food stall will be taken to St Andrews Lunch Club.
Friday March 4 10.00am till 12.00 noon. All Saints Church, Vicar Street, Sedgley. Food and Craft Stalls followed by Women’s World Day of Prayer Lunch and Service.
Sunday March 6 Fairtrade Services at All Saints Church, Vicar Street, Sedgley and St Andrews Church, Bilston Street, Sedgley.
Monday March 7 10.00am till 12.00 noon at St Andrews Community Café, Bilston Street, Sedgley, Food stall and tastings.
Friday March 11 10.00am till 12.00 noon, At the Sedgley Co-op superstore. Fairtrade coffee morning, craft stall and display of the full range of Fairtrade items available at the store.
At 11.30 the draw for the hamper will take place and the hamper will be presented to the winner or delivered to them later.
