Your main point of contact for Health and Social Care and the Dudley Disability Service

'Adult social care' is the term given to the care and support that people may need to help them live the life they choose. It can range from a piece of helpful equipment, to adaptations in the bathroom, care and support provided in the home, or help from a range of supportive services.

Some support is provided in the form of a short-term service to help people get back on their feet after an illness or hospital stay, or they may have longer term care needs and benefit from help to arrange long term care and support.

We support almost 5,000 local people with care and support services, along with nearly 3,500 unpaid carers of family members or friends. We help people get back to independence after a hospital stay, working to support the NHS and also have step down beds in rehabilitation units. You can find out more about what we do and how many people we support in the infographic - Adult Social Care in Numbers.
