Book of Remembrance at Stourbridge Crematorium

The volumes of the Book of Remembrance provide a simple and lasting memorial and are displayed in the Chapel of Remembrance. The book contains a page for each day of the year and the pages are turned daily. You decide on which date the entry is to appear and you can then come and see your loved one's epitaph on that date each year.

The beautiful volumes of the books are made and inscribed by craftsmen and provide a permanent record. The books are displayed in the Remembrance room, which is situated at the side of the chapel, and near to the floral tribute area. It contains a page for each day of the year and the inscription usually appears on the date of death, or any other anniversary. The page is turned each morning in order that relatives may view the entry on that date each year.

The minimum entry if two lines consisting of a name of the deceased on the top line. With a personal inscription on the second. Five and eight line entries are also available. All entries are inscribed by hand, offering the same degree of permanence and artistic excellence.

Please note – Inscriptions for the book of remembrance at Stourbridge Crematorium must be made at least 6 months prior to the anniversary date to ensure they are recorded in time

Remembrance Cards

Arrangements can be made for copies of entries in the Book of Remembrance to be available to relatives and friends upon request. These cards are particularly suitable to relatives who are unable to attend the Crematorium to view the book.

The Remembrance cards are in the same style as the Book of Remembrance and contain beneath the anniversary date a copy of the original inscription as it appears in the book.
