We know that close relatives and friends derive comfort when they are allowed to commemorate their loved ones with a tangible memorial. Some people feel that a particular type of memorial would be appropriate and we therefore offer a choice of memorials.

Memorial plaquesof Welsh slate with gold lettering are set on a wall bordering the pathway leading to the new garden of remembrance. The right to affix a plaque is leased from the council for a period of 10 years and may be renewed for periods thereafter.
Actual Sizes are 300mm x 100mm (single plaque including three lines of inscription) and 300mm x 200mm (double plaque including up to seven lines of inscription)
Each name line will accommodate 18 letters and/or spaces, and subsequent lines accommodate 26 letters/figures and/or spaces. On double plaques the additional inscription will be inscribed without further charge.
The beautiful volumes of theBook of Remembranceare made and inscribed by craftsmen and provide a permanent record. The books are displayed in the Remembrance room, which is situated at the side of the chapel, and near to the floral tribute area. It contains a page for each day of the year and the inscription usually appears on the date of death, or any other anniversary. The page is turned each morning in order that relatives may view the entry on that date each year.
The minimum entry if two lines consisting of a name of the deceased on the top line. With a personal inscription on the second. Five and eight line entries are also available. All entries are inscribed by hand, offering the same degree of permanence and artistic excellence.
Arrangements can be made for copies of entries in the Book of Remembrance to be available to relatives and friends upon request. These cards are particularly suitable to relatives who are unable to attend the Crematorium to view the book.
The Remembrance cards are in the same style as the Book of Remembrance and contain beneath the anniversary date a copy of the original inscription as it appears in the book.
Planting a new tree, or installing a bench or plaque helps people to come to terms with their loss and creates a special place for friends and family to visit and to remember and reflect.
Thememorial treesare pre planted within the grounds of the Crematorium and Cemetery. A plaque is supplied with the memorial tree, a maximum of three dedicated plaques per tree is allowed. The right to place a plaque besides a memorial tree is for a lease period of 10 years. We accept responsibility for the tree’s care and attention including free replacement if necessary.
