Long term works
Dudley Bus Station is currently being replaced with a modern and efficient new transport interchange that will link bus services with the town's Metro terminus.
To improve bus operations and reduce congestion while this work is taking place, Priory Road and New Street from Ednam Road to Tower Street will be made one way from Saturday 13 July.
The one-way order on Tower Street from Stone Street to New Street will be reversed and you will have to travel from New Street to Stone Street. This will also come into force on 13 July.
Stone Street will also become one way from Tower Street to Priory Street on 13 July.
These temporary arrangements will remain in place until the new bus interchange has been opened and buses are relocated from Tower Street.
Major cabling works are required in Dudley town centre to provide power to Nexus House and Dudley College.
From Sunday 21 July, The Broadway will be one-way from Tower Street to Ednam Road.
Eastbound traffic heading towards Dudley town centre will be able to travel via Priory Road.
Cottage Street will be closed to traffic from Friday March 17 until Sunday July 2.
It will be closed from High Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 22m.
The restriction is required to safety carry out highway improvement works
From April 5 the following roads may be used for diverted traffic in order to facilitate works on the Metro.

Work to upgrade traffic signals at three major junctions in Kingswinford is now underway.
Motorists are warned to expect delays while the works – which will be in three phases and run for nearly a year – take place.
Phase one is due to start on October 2 and will run until Christmas at the junction of Cot Lane, Swindon Road, Lodge Lane and Summerhill.
The junction of Moss Grove, Wolverhampton Street, Stallings Lane and Dudley Road will form phase two, taking place from January next year until spring 2024.
The third and final phase of work, to the junction of Moss Grove, High Street, Market Street and Summerhill, is expected to start later this year.
Manually controlled temporary signals will be in place throughout to minimise disruption as much as possible. However, significant delays are expected during certain periods and motorists are asked to avoid the areas affected where possible.
Short term works
High Street will be closed on Saturday 27 July from 6am to 6pm for the Brier Fair event.
The closure will be in place from Moor Street to Pearson Street.
Traffic will be diverted via High Street, Venture Way, Level Street, and vice versa.
Kipling Avenue will be closed to traffic (from the junction of Shaw Road to the end of the cul-de-sac) from Monday 15 July to Tuesday 6 August for carriageway resurfacing work.
There is no diversion route as this is a cul-de-sac.
The works will be carried out on two separate weeks and the road will be closed for a maximum of two days each week.
Rowan Crescent will be closed to traffic (from the junction of Kipling Avenue to the end of the cul-de-sac) from Monday July 15 to Monday August 5 for carriageway resurfacing work.

Fern Close will be closed to traffic (from the junction of Elmdale Road to the end of the cul-de-sac) from Monday July 15 to Monday August 5 for carriageway resurfacing work.

All vehicular traffic will be diverted via: Vicarage Road – Green Street – Tunnel Street – Ivyhouse Lane and vice versa.
Church Road Coseley will be closed from the junction of Yew Tree to the junction with Philp Street from Tuesday July 30 to Friday August 9 for carriageway reconstruction
Diversion via: Yew Tree Lane , Summerhill Road , Philip Street and vice versa
Ivyhouse Lane will be closed from Monday 29 July to Friday 2 August for the installation of four new gas service pipes.
The closure will be in place from the junction with Birmingham New Road to 57 Ivyhouse Lane.
Traffic will be diverted via Birmingham New Road, Mason Street, Green Street, Tunnel Street, and vice versa.

The Broadway will be made temporarily one way (north-west bound) from Sunday July 21 to Saturday August 31 to safely facilitate new electricity service connections and network reinforcement.
The extent of the restriction will be from the junction of Tower Street to the junction of Ednam Road.
All south-east bound vehicular traffic will be diverted via: Ednam Road, Priory Road, New Street and Castle Street.
St Joseph Street, Dudley will be closed from 24 June to 2 November 2024.
The extent of the restriction will be from the junction of Trindle Road to the junction of Porters Field.
All northbound traffic will be diverted via Trindle Road, Castle Hill, Castle Gate Island, Castle Hill, Trindle Road, Porters Field. All southboundtraffic will be diverted via Trindle Road, Porters Field.
The restriction is required to safely facilitate junction and road upgrade works.
St Marks Road will be closed from Monday 5 August to Wednesday 7 August for a water pipe repair.
The closure will be in place from 1 to 7 St Marks Road.

New Street will be closed to traffic (from the junction of Louise Street to junction of Abbey Street) from Sunday July 14 to Friday August 2 for carriageway resurfacing work.

The works will be carried out on two separate weeks and the road will be closed for a maximum of two days each week.
Stallings Lane, Kingswinford and Cinder Road, Lower Gornal will be closed on Sunday 4 August and Sunday 11 August between 8am and 3pm each day for carriageway resurfacing.
The closures will be in place from the junction of Tansey Green Road to the junction of Chase Road.
Traffic will be diverted via Chase Road, Coopers Bank Road, Smithy Lane, Tansey Green Road, and vice versa.
Spies Lane will be closed to traffic (from: North Bound one-way Road closure Kent Road to Hagley Road) from Wednesday 10 to Thursday July 25 for carriageway resurfacing work.
All traffic will be diverted via North Bound Hagley Road, Halesowen Road and Kent Road.
Newfield Lane, Halesowen will be closed from Friday 26 July to Monday 29 July for carriageway resurfacing works.
The closure will be from Furnace Lane to Newfield Crescent with access to frontages only.
No diversion is required as the road is a cul-de-sac.
Chatsworth Road will be closed to traffic from (from the junction of Lodgefield Road to the end of the cul-de-sac) Tuesday July 9 to Tuesday July 23 for carriageway resurfacing work.

Turning left on Manor Lane will be temporarily prohibited from Thursday 25 July to Friday 2 August during a repair to street lighting.
