Long term works
Dudley Bus Station is currently being replaced with a modern and efficient new transport interchange that will link bus services with the town's Metro terminus.
To improve bus operations and reduce congestion while this work is taking place, Priory Road and New Street from Ednam Road to Tower Street will be made one way from Saturday 13 July.
The one-way order on Tower Street from Stone Street to New Street will be reversed and you will have to travel from New Street to Stone Street. This will also come into force on 13 July.
Stone Street will also become one way from Tower Street to Priory Street on 13 July.
These temporary arrangements will remain in place until the new bus interchange has been opened and buses are relocated from Tower Street.
Cottage Street will be closed to traffic from Friday March 17 until Sunday July 2.
It will be closed from High Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 22m.
The restriction is required to safety carry out highway improvement works
From April 5 the following roads may be used for diverted traffic in order to facilitate works on the Metro.

Work to upgrade traffic signals at three major junctions in Kingswinford is now underway.
Motorists are warned to expect delays while the works – which will be in three phases and run for nearly a year – take place.
Phase one is due to start on October 2 and will run until Christmas at the junction of Cot Lane, Swindon Road, Lodge Lane and Summerhill.
The junction of Moss Grove, Wolverhampton Street, Stallings Lane and Dudley Road will form phase two, taking place from January next year until spring 2024.
The third and final phase of work, to the junction of Moss Grove, High Street, Market Street and Summerhill, is expected to start later this year.
Manually controlled temporary signals will be in place throughout to minimise disruption as much as possible. However, significant delays are expected during certain periods and motorists are asked to avoid the areas affected where possible.
Racecourse Lane, Norton is closed to traffic from Friday 27 September to Thursday 19 December for gas mains replacement works by Cadent Gas.
The closure is in place between Fairways Avenue and Ounty John Lane.
Access is available to frontages only and this highway cannot currently be used as a through route due to Cadent's works, including open excavations.
A signed diversion route is in place with advanced warning signs at relevant junctions.
Motorists are reminded to take notice of these signs and avoid proceeding up to the works site, where there is insufficient space to turn around.
This will prevent further damage to protective signing and guarding equipment.
Short term works
Church Hill and Seagers Lane will be closed on Sunday 10 November from 10.15am to 11.30am and on Monday 11 November from 10.15am to 11.30am for the Remembrance Day and Armistice Day commemoration events.
Church Hill will be closed from Church Street to Seagers Lane.
Seagers Lane will be closed from Church Hill to Bell Street.
Vine Street will be closed from Monday 11 November to Thursday 14 November for service connection works.
The closure will be in place outside Forge House.
Traffic will be diverted via Charter Street and Vine Street.
Georgina Avenue will be closed from Monday 25 November to Wednesday 27 November for carriageway resurfacing works.
The closure will be in place from the junction of Lane Street to the end of the cul-de-sac.
There is no diversion route required as this road is a cul-de-sac.
Several roads in Coseley will be closed on Sunday 10 November from 9.30am to 11.30am for the Remembrance Day parade.
- Vicarage Road will be closed from New Birmingham Road to Green Street.
- Green Street will be closed from Vicarage Road to Bayer Street.
- Bayer Street will be closed from Green Street to Bridge Street.
- Bridge Street will be closed from Bayer Street to Broad Street.
- Broad Street will be closed from Bayer Street to Wallbrook Street.
- Wallbrook Street will be closed from Broad Street to Peartree Lane.
- Peartree Lane will be closed from Wallbrook Street to Pemberton Road.
- Pemberton Road will be closed from Wall Brook Street to Church Road.
- Church Road will be closed from Pemberton Road to Gough Road.
Colley Lane, Blue Ball Lane and Church Road will be closed from 2.30pm to 4.30pm on Sunday 10 November for the Cradley Remembrance Day parade.
Colley Lane will be closed from the junction of Park Road to the junction of Butchers Lane.
Blue Ball Lane will be closed from the junction of Colley Lane to the junction of Church Road.
Church Road will be closed from the junction of Blue Ball Lane to the junction of Colley Lane.
Traffic will be diverted via Colley Gate, Furlong Lane, Butchers Lane and vice versa.
Field Road will be closed from Wednesday 6 November to Monday 11 November for carriageway reconstruction works.
The closure will be in place from the junction of Hillcrest Road to the junction of Birmingham Road.
Traffic will be diverted via Corporation Road, Wolverton Road, Hillcrest Road, Beechwood Road, and Arras Road.
There will be a temporary one-way order on Castle Mill Road closed from Monday 4 November to Wednesday 6 November during the repair of a carriageway cover.
The restriction will be in place from the junction of Priory Road to 14 Castle Mill Road.
Westbound traffic will be diverted via Forest Road, Woodland Avenue, and Priory Road.
Elizabeth Grove will be closed from Friday 8 November to Tuesday 12 November for carriageway reconstruction works.
No diversion route is required as this road is a cul-de-sac.
Several roads in Dudley town centre will be closed on Sunday 10 November from 6am to 2pm for the Dudley Remembrance Day parade event.

Waiting and loading will alos be suspended during this time, except for vehicles and equipment associated with the Remembrance Day traffic management.
Access to frontages and for emergency services will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
