Dudley Council works hard to ensure its services continue to run during the winter period. However, some services will be affected by the severe weather.
Some ice and snow could be on the way this weekend (6 and 7 February). We are monitoring the weather and our gritting team will be going out whenever necessary.
We have 3,500 tonnes of grit and a fleet of eight gritters, to bolster a network of hundreds of grit bins across the borough if the weather takes a turn for the worst.
Below is a complete picture of how council services will be affected during the snow and ice. Remember, you can also keep up to date via our @dudleymbc twitter feed and 'dudley borough' facebook page.
You can also sign up to regular bulletins for information on the council's news, service, events and other information
Gritting and roads
You can find out if and when we will be gritting your road here.
A 65-strong team based at the council’s Lister Road depot keep more than 480 kilometres of road clear during severe weather. They are also gritting Covid-19 test centres and vaccination clinics and hubs as a matter of priority.
The team has refilled all grit bins, wherever it has been requested, over the last two weeks.
