Dudley Council works hard to ensure its services continue to run during the winter period. However, some services will be affected by the severe weather.
We have 6,000 tonnes of grit and a fleet of eight gritters, to bolster a network of more than one thousand grit bins across the borough if the weather takes a turn for the worst.
Below is a complete picture of how council services will be affected during the snow and ice. Remember, you can also keep up to date via our
@dudleymbc twitter feed and 'dudley borough' facebook page.
You can also

Gritting and roads
A 65-strong team based at the council’s Lister Road depot keep more than 480 kilometres of road clear during severe weather.
Friday March 3
Crews have been out overnight and will continue throughout the day. More snow this morning and temperatures are set to drop later today.
We're also gritting some of the worst hit side roads by hand, bringing in staff from other areas to support.
Please be careful on the roads. We're also working through the requests for grit bin refills. You can
request a grit bin refill online.
Bin and recycling collections
Bin and recycling collections are running wherever possible today although there could be some delays and disruption.
If you have a scheduled collection for today and it is not made please leave bins or recycling at the kerbside if possible, we will endeavour to collect it as soon as possible.
Most schools contact parents directly if there are any closures. We also advise you to check your school's website.
So far we are aware of the following closures:
Cradley C of E
Netherton Park Nursery
St James CE Primary
St Joseph's Stourbridge
St Mary's Catholic
People are also advised to listen to local radio stations for up to the minute information and we have provided a selection of radio websites here which may offer additional information.
