Essential Maintenance

Due to essential maintenance, our estore payment system will be unavailable at different times between 8am and 4pm on Sunday 14 April. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will respond quickly to requests for the removal of dead animals found on the road or open land.

Appointments are necessary if collection is from private land.

For collection from the road or public land no appointments are required.

  • All dead animals are taken to the Prestwood Pet Crematorium located outside Stourbridge.

Injured animals

For other injured animals, please contact the RSPCA.

Further information

Cats and dogs

We don't generally offer a removal service to the general public. A local vet should be contacted for advice. In exceptional circumstances we may remove a carcass. In this case a charge will be made for the disposal.

The service is free for 'unknown' cats and dogs which have been found on customer's property. Please note that we will not collect any previously buried animals which have been 'dug up'.

Dead rats on private property must be reported to Pest Control.

We will collect dead rats from other public locations. Please report dead rats that are not on your property.

Badgers and foxes

Badgers, foxes and other wild animals will be collected free of charge.

Larger animals

Larger animals such as very large dogs cannot be collected. Customer must contact a local vet for the disposal of these animals.

The service to collect dead horses is a private pay on collection service operated by Bob Walker.

Missing pets

If your pet is missing and you would like to check the details of the dead animals that have been found, please contact the Prestwood Pet Crematorium. You will need to give a description of your pet to enable records to be checked.
