Childminders must be registered with Ofsted if they look after children aged under eight, for more than two hours a day in any one day.

Ofsted defines childminders as:

individuals looking after children on domestic premises, which is not the home of any of the children being cared for

As part of your ongoing continual professional development and to meet Ofsted minimum standards you will be required to access training covering a range of subjects. The Early Years Foundation Stage and Childcare Professional Development programme offers targeted training opportunities to childcare providers in the Dudley Borough. Why not take a look at the training on offer for registered childminders.
