A number of training courses are available to support continued professional development for you and/or your staff.
The Integrated Early Years Service Early Years and Childcare training programme has a variety of courses, workshops, forums and meetings to update and support your professional development.
Business planning, marketing, funding and feasibility are all key components of setting up and running a successful business. Support is available for you on a whole range of business issues.
Based at the five family centres, the Integrated Early Years’ Service is new in Dudley. We provide support to children, families and early years providers across the borough. We also have a wealth of knowledge and expertise for children with additional needs. Our main aim is to ensure that children aged 0-5 receive the right support at the right time. We offer:
• training • supportive visits to providers • stay and play sessions with families • home visits
To provide this support to yourselves, we work close with health and care colleagues.
We administer all Early Education Funding and provide access to a comprehensive mandatory training programme for the Safeguarding and Welfare and Learning and Development requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage and CPD for all early years and childcare practitioners. The team provides advice and guidance and supports new and existing early years and childcare providers to enhance or expand existing services or develop new services. We also provide information and support to parents, providers and professionals through the Family Information Service.
Early Education Funding:
Targeted 15 hour funded entitlement for 2 year olds, known as Time for Twos
Universal 15 hour funded entitlement for 3 and 4 year olds
Targeted 30 hour funded entitlement for 3 and 4 year olds of some working parents, known as Extra Time
Setting up childcare provision, including Ofsted registration guidance and business planning, marketing and finance
Statutory Childcare and Early Years place Sufficiency including Market Management
Support and Challenge in maintaining the Learning and Development and Safeguarding and Welfare requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Planning, commissioning and delivery of Safeguarding and Welfare mandatory training courses and Learning and Development CPD
Workforce development including safer recruitment and qualifications
Development of Childminding services
