Parks in the borough

We have lots of beautiful parks within the borough; you will probably find one within walking distance of your home. A number of our parks are "Healthy Town Parks" with activity centres offering a wide range of inclusive physical activities.

Our healthy hubs aim to provide you with outdoor venues for people of all ages and abilities to get active and have fun in a safe, pleasant outdoor environment.
Himley Hall

Himley Hall and Park

Himley Hall and Park is a commanding 18th Century building set amongst 180 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped parkland. A glamorous setting for civil wedding ceremonies, receptions and other special occasions, prestigious conference facilities and guided tours.

Opening Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
Closed weekends and Bank Holidays.

Parks are open everyday with free access. In most cases there are car-parking facilities. On our Healthy Town parks, staff work on various rotas according to seasons. Check with individual sites for current timetables.

Facilities

Most parks have a range of Outdoor Recreation Facilities such as outdoor gyms, football pitches, tennis courts, basketball courts, bowling greens and playgrounds. Some sports facilities, such as football and bowling require a small fee and booking.
