Mary Stevens Park in Stourbridge is a well-loved community asset. The park receives approximately one million visitors each year.
The park is a real hive of activity all year round, with daily health and fitness activities, community group events and regular heritage and wildlife activities.

Dudley Council recently completed a heritage lottery project which secured £3.1 million investment in improvements to the park including: restoration of the Grade II listed park gates, Bandstand, War Memorial, Heath Pool and the creation of a Café.
The Heritage Lottery Funded 'Parks for People' restoration project took place between and 2014 and 2017. During this period a number of park improvements were made, including:
Creation of a new coffee lounge
Restoration and improvements to the bandstand
Restoration and improvements to the grade II listed park entrance gates
Restoration and improvements to the setting of the grade II listed war memorial
Landscape works to Heath Pool including; dredging / silt removal, creating shallow margins, marginal vegetation planting, improved railings, new duck houses etc...
A refurbishing of the water play area
Improvements to the park layout including new benches, footpaths, car park and bins
New interpretation and signage panels
Employment of a heritage park ranger who works with volunteers, runs activities and events and works with schools

The friends of Mary Stevens Park are a community group who work to improve the park in various ways, including fundraising for new equipment, volunteering, and supporting events. How to get here
The park is conveniently located half a mile from Stourbridge town centre, and pedestrian routes are well sign posted in the area. From Stourbridge Town Centre, walk down Market Street with Waitrose on your left. At the end of the street, take the subway beneath the ring road. Walk up Worcester Street, and cross the zebra crossing across Heath Lane by the Plough and Harrow.
The 276 bus stops at Norton Road and Worcester Street. The park is about ¾ of a mile from Stourbridge bus station. Stourbridge Junction train station is less than a mile away and is well served from trains from Birmingham and Worcester. There is a sign posted pedestrian route starting by the ticket office.
The postcode for the main entrance and car park is DY8 2AA. Additional parking close to the activity centre is available on Stanley Road, DY8 2DN. Car parking is free but limited and sometimes becomes full, particularly on weekdays and when the weather is very nice. Please be courteous to our neighbours and don’t block local roads.
We welcome the following activities:
Walking, jogging, informal games and kickabouts, use of the formal recreation facilities, visiting the play area, watching wildlife, walking your dog, sitting and watching the world go by and enjoying the scenery, responsible cycling (see the full Cycling Code of Conduct in the Activity Centre).
The following activities are not welcome in the park:
Unauthorised use of motor vehicles, use of drugs and drinking of alcohol, vandalism or damage to the park, its facilities and wildlife, violent or threatening behaviour, fly tipping, dropping of litter, lighting fires or dog fouling, criminal activity.
