Priory Park is the closest park to Dudley town centre at just a five minute walk away. Opened in 1932 the park retains most of its original features as well as a number of additions funded by the Heritage Lottery restoration project.

Priory Park is largely accessible for users of wheelchairs and pushchairs. We want to make everyone feel welcome and able to enjoy Priory Park.
The path network within Priory Park is accessible throughout the year comprising tarmac and recently restored paved areas. The paths are wide and mostly flat with a few small gradients, alternate ramp access is available around any steps ensuring all areas of the park accessible. All stepped areas have handrails.
Toilet Facilities
Accessible toilets and high quality male and female toilet blocks are available in the park. The toilets are generally open during Café opening times.

Priory park is a great place to visit to better understand local history and to study wildlife habitats. Exploring the history of the Priory ruins and pond dipping are particularly popular studies.

Priory Park holds the Green Flag Award and Green Heritage Award quality marks. The awards recognise high quality parks that offer a great visitor experience and high standards of management.
In 2013 a heritage lottery funded project was completed to restore, conserve and enhance the historic landscape and create a park that met modern-day visitors' needs, and provide a varied range of events and activities. Find out more on Priory Park Heritage.
In 2019 Priory Park won the Best Heritage Park at the Horticulture Weekly Custodian Awards.
Located within the park is Priory Hall. The beautiful setting makes it a popular wedding ceremony venue.
Please access the hall from through the reception entrance (from the car park you need to walk around to the front of the hall).

Wedding Photography
The Priory Ruins and the rest of the park are popular spots for wedding photography. Photographs may be taken anywhere within the park such as in the ruins, the rose garden or lily pond. The lawns within Priory Hall gates are only open to wedding parties who's ceremony is held at Priory Hall. Charges apply.

We are currently looking for local people with a passion for Priory Park to become part of a new park friends group. Volunteering with a Friends of Parks group can be very rewarding, groups can carry out a huge range of activities, such as; fundraising for new equipment, leading litter picks and clean up tasks, organising park activities and events. It’s a great way to get more involved in the community and there is a role for everyone. How to get here
Priory Park can be accessed easily by bus, with stops located close to the park entrances. Buses that stop at Priory Park are:
81, 82, 24, X7 and X8
Bus timetables, maps and service information is available through Network West Midlands.
General car parking is available along Priory Road with no time restrictions. Woodland Avenue, The Broadway, and Paganel Drive have a 1-hour time limit Monday-Friday and no time limit on Saturday and Sunday.
We currently have specially dedicated disabled car parking spaces within the Priory Hall car park. A gateway from the car park leads directly into the park. Access to this car park is off Priory Road.
