Mary Stevens Park in Stourbridge is a well-loved community asset. The park receives approximately one million visitors each year.
The park is a real hive of activity all year round, with daily health and fitness activities, community group events and regular heritage and wildlife activities.
Dudley Council recently completed a heritage lottery project which secured £3.1 million investment in improvements to the park including: restoration of the Grade II listed park gates, Bandstand, War Memorial, Heath Pool and the creation of a Café.
The park is conveniently located half a mile from Stourbridge town centre, and pedestrian routes are well sign posted in the area.
From Stourbridge Town Centre, walk down Market Street with Waitrose on your left. At the end of the street, take the subway beneath the ring road. Walk up Worcester Street, and cross the zebra crossing across Heath Lane by the Plough and Harrow.
The 276 bus stops at Norton Road and Worcester Street.
The park is about ¾ of a mile from Stourbridge bus station.
Stourbridge Junction train station is less than a mile away and is well served from trains from Birmingham and Worcester. There is a sign posted pedestrian route starting by the ticket office.
