A team of highly experienced specialist teachers with additional Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) qualifications who work within the principles and guidelines of the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice: 0-25 years (2015). We are committed to working in partnership with schools, parents, governors and other professionals to raise the standards of achievement for pupils with SEN.
We work in a variety of ways to ‘support schools in supporting pupils’ by offering services in the following areas:
The Learning Support Service provides an extensive list of training opportunities and publications.
The Dudley Learning Support Service facilitates a termly SENCo Forum. This is a 2 hour session at Saltwells EDC. This gives SENCos the opportunity to network with colleagues to discuss topics relevant to their role. We also have a range of guest presenters.
We offer specialised peripatetic teaching for primary, secondary and sixth form age pupils with specific and moderate learning difficulties and for pupils who need additional support.
