The Dudley Adults Portals will be unavailable from 12.30 pm on Friday 10th April 2026. We anticipate the above being available again from 10am on Monday 13th April 2026.

Information for children & young people involved with YJS
The YJS must follow guidelines when working with you. We will:
Tell you what our job is and explain how we can help and support you.
Answer any questions you have that will help you to successfully complete your intervention with us.
Follow your progress and give you practical information to make sure you are doing what is required of you.
Respect that your information is private and if we need to share it we will explain why we have to do this.
Try to help you if you're having difficulty completing your intervention with us.
Help you to understand how your behaviour has affected other people and the community.
Help you to prevent or reduce getting into trouble with the law in the future.
When you are with your YJS worker they will look at different areas in your life such as family and personal relationships, mental health, substance misuse, housing, education and training.
You and your worker will go through an assessment and put together a plan with you and your parents/carer to support you with any problems you are having. This will meet the conditions of your intervention and will include any work that is needed to repair any harm you may have caused.
Your worker will make sure that when your YJS intervention is coming to an end you will have the offer of further support to continue to get the help and support you need.
You are important in helping us shape the way we work now and in the future and we will listen to you to help us improve our service. We want to hear your voice, your views and your experience of our service so we know what is good and what is not so good so we can make changes to our service to better support you and other young people.
There will also be opportunities for you to get involved with us, including:
opportunities to meet with the YJS Management Board. The board is made up of senior managers from the majority of our partners including Dudley Council, NHS, Police, Education, Community Safety, Housing, Probation – who would all greatly value what you have to say about our service.
get involved in our consultation exercises so we can gather your view on different areas of our work.
make videos used for training and/or information awareness for the community and children and young people.
Getting involved in this way can be very rewarding and help improve your confidence and communication skills.
If you or your parents/carers are unhappy with the service we have provided, we want to know so we can improve. Ask to speak to a member of staff so we can work things out.
Your complaint will be taken seriously. You will continue to receive a service while your complaint is being investigated.
There is a process called 'Early revocation’ - If you are determined on following the plan you and your worker have created and complete all requirements, without there being any further concerns, your worker can recommend to that your intervention is completed early for good progress.
If you do not engage with your programme, there may be a procedure commenced called ‘Non-Compliance’. However, before that is decided, we will try to be flexible and look at other ways to support you to get back on track with your programme. The most important thing is that you share your thoughts and feelings with us.
