Application process

If you are interested in becoming an approved premise, or wish to renew your current approval, please read the information below and apply by down loading the form at the bottom of this page. Please note that this information together with the application form is available for download at the foot of this page.

If you would like an informal chat about becoming a new ceremony venue, please contact the superintendent registrar at Dudley Register Office.

This gives information about the Conditions that are attached to a licence when it is granted.

Regulations

The 1994 Marriage Act and the Civil Partnerships Act 2004 allow Dudley MBC to issue a licence for marriages and Civil Partnerships to be solemnised in buildings within the Borough approved for that purpose by the Council.

How do I apply?

The application form with all relevant information can be downloaded from the foot of this page, or it can be requested from the Register Office or an application can be made Online using the Service Request Form link below.

What does it cost?

Grant/Renewal = £1700.00

for each additional room £75.00

What happens if my Licence Circumstances change?

This is covered in section 3 of the application form pack. The licence holder will be responsible for informing the Superintendent Registrar and the Licensing Office of any change which will affect the licence, such as change of use or name of Approved premises, change of Licence holder or any material change to the rooms or environment covered in the licence.
