Council homes repairs and improvements

If you are a council tenant and something has broken within your home, you should report it to us as soon as possible.

Temporary disruption to reporting of repairs: 13 February - 20 February 2026

As a crucial part of modernising the council’s housing repairs service, improving efficiency and tenant experience we will be implementing a new quick response repairs system during February. The planned switchover period to the new system will take place from 8am on Friday 13 February, until 5pm on Friday 20 February. During this switchover period, the booking of new repairs will be paused, and only emergency repairs and statutory repairs such as damp and mould issues can be reported by tenants by calling the Housing repairs management centre on 0300 555 8283.

The MyDudley portal will remain available for tenants to report repairs during this period. However, please be aware that there will be delays in scheduling jobs, and any requests submitted will not be actioned until Monday 23 February.

All repairs appointments that have already been scheduled will go ahead as planned, and tenants with confirmed appointments should not expect any changes.

The repairs reporting system will return to normal at 8am on Monday 23 February.

Repairs appointments

Freephone facilities

There are freephone facilities in various locations around the borough, so that you can call us. The phones have been located in special booths clearly identifiable as a Dudley Council freephone. All you have to do is pick up the phone and follow the instructions given to you. There is no need to dial or money to pay to contact us.

Customer satisfaction

We are committed to improving the services we provide to our customers. We work hard to get things right, but we know there is often room for improvement. By asking customers what they think, we can identify where we could do better and take the necessary steps.

Please complete the survey forms if you are sent them – or write in if you have ideas about how our services could be improved and return to one of our housing contact points.

Alternatively you can leave us feedback online.
