Housing advice and support

Need help and advice with where you live? Whether it is dealing with Anti-Social Behaviour, finding out what we can do to help you if you are homeless, or providing information on traveller sites, we offer a wide range of help and support.

Anti-Social Behaviour

Anti-Social behaviour can affect anybody. Living in your own home without feeling threatened or being subject to noise nuisance is something we want every one of our tenants to be able to enjoy. Loud music, barking dogs, and unreasonable behaviour are all anti-social and no-one should have to suffer from them. The Council does take this issue very seriously and will be keen to work with you to tackle any problems you may have.

Mortgage problems advice

The economic downturn has resulted in many homeowners finding themselves in financial difficulties through the loss of their jobs or due to a significant reduction in their income, resulting in the possibility of facing repossession from their lenders.

Facing the prospect of repossession can be frightening, but it's important to remember that you are not alone. There is a lot of help available from government, from lenders and from advice agencies. The information here will give you the tools you need to prevent your home being repossessed.

Travellers site

The Council owns and manages a permanent site for Gypsies and Travellers, known as the Oak Lane Traveller Site, Kingswinford.

The site contains 22 pitches for caravans, 21 of which are for rent with the remaining pitch being occupied by a full time residential warden.
